10:45 pm - my small life

8am
human wakes me up. I think about food.
830am
human drags me into the cold weather. I resist knowing there is food inside but after a bit of tugging I realize i DO have to pee.
845am
After I pee, i start tugging and trying not to walk. I act tired. I stop moving. Really, i just want to go inside and eat.
9pm
I lay down and try to forget my hunger.
10am
I consider wandering over to my mommy to see if she remembers I'm hungry
I lay down in a way that makes me look like i'm eternally suffering
1030am
I emit a groan
1035am
I emit a groan, grunt or whine every 3 minutes for about 30 minutes. I lay listlessly on the floor near mommy so she remembers I'm hungry
1135am
my groans increase. I'm now howling a bit but still lying desperately on the floor. If my mommy gets up, i follow her and cry. When she sits back down, I collapse and whine (in case she forgets i'm hungry)
1230am
I'm now panicking. I start barking. sometimes this works and I get my food early. If not, i just whine and whine and whine and whine and whine and whine...
1pm
LUNCH!
1:30pm-6pm
I will not move. I'll lay down and ignore my surroundings unless i hear the fridge open. I'm still hungry you know!
630pm
my daddy takes me for a walk. I try as hard as I can to resist the walk in case there is food inside that I can beg for.
730pm
human dinner/beg time
8:30pm
Whining time-- there are still dishes in the sink! I can lick those you know!
9:30pm
I collapse in dismay for the evening when I realize there is no more food to be had.
10pm-8am
I think about food.

dude!! There are not one but TWO smelly gross dears floating in the water at the dog park! I must gets me some more of dat:-)
My owners won't let me off the leash at the park anymore cause well... I'm SUCH a pig for rotting animals!

so, in case everyone was wondering, here is an update on my life:
I lost 15 pounds so i'm damned sexy now! No more sausage on legs!
Also, i joined this cool park that's all fenced in with trails and tons of doggies!! Lots of them are nicer than my sister pixel so it's all good. she gets to run around and play with other dogs which gives me my privacy so i can hang back with the humans:-)
The humans have been keeping the house immaculately clean and there is a strange object stuck in the ground on the front yard, with papers attached to it. Every now and then, we have to leave quickly and come back in an hour. This lady comes over a lot to make my mommy sign lots and lots of papers. This CAN'T bode well as I feel change coming on. I don't like change.

So, my raw food diet is going great! I now crave my dinner so badly that I whine when the girl prepares it. Also, if I suspect that she might be making my dinner, then I try and stall my man into forgetting to take me out.
If that doesn't work, then once we get to the end of the driveway, I don't budge. I hold tight and hope he won't make me leave what is bound to be eaten by someone else while I'm gone. Sometimes this tactic works and I'm pleased to say that the minute I get back onto the house, the girl is holding the plates of mine and pixel's dinner and the man goes to the deck to set things up.
He puts chairs in the middle of the deck and puts pixel on one side with a plate and me on the other with my own plate. There is always panic when one plate is lowered. I am always afraid that they will forget to feed me or even worse, that they will feed pixel and leave me on my side starving.
Once we are done, we like to lick eachother's plates to make sure neither of us forgot anything.

In case you haven't guessed, I am a carnivore.
That is why I am on a new diet!
We get to eat raw pureed veggies that are super yummy and raw meat, sometimes even whole chickens!!
My mom thinks it looks nasty and hates to touch the stuff but I really love how the bones are so crunchy and the flesh is so time-consuming to chew on.
Here is the basis of my diet:
Raw Meat (chicken, lamb, turkey, beef, pork and eggs)
Raw Bone (beef or poultry--yes it's safe if it's raw)
Fruits and Veggies (green veggies, carrots and even seaweed)
I'm a dog who is a descendant of wolves that are 16,000 years old. They didn't have kibble store bought food then and we got along just fine. Did you know that even brands like science diet and nutro put stuff in their food so it won't be fit for human consumption? Did you also know that they use very low grade meet and fillers and sugars to make the foods cheaper?
Not only that, the vet says it'll make my ass smaller and sexier and pixel won't have itchy ears anymore!
This diet is also recommended for cats and ferrets.

Pixel and I pretty much start waiting at the window for our bi-ped feeder to come home at around 5:30. He doesn't get in until about 6:30 but maybe that will change?

oh my god i had soo much fun today!!
I played with cousin lewis and went in the swamp and got dirty and ate treats and barked and chased cranes (theyre endangered you know) and...now i'm SOOOO tired!
I saw baby puppies today and i'm a bit suspicious! I mean, my mommy seemed to spend a lot more time with one of them in particular--Its not nearly as cute as me--i mean, it can't even see yet!! I'm much more experienced in my 1 year and 4 months than that little doggie my mommy kept calling pixel is, in her 1 week of being alive! who does she think she is? hmmm she's so cute though!

-i sleep on my back with my feet in the air (i'm very trusting)
-i dream a lot too
-i'm generally good except when off of my leash
-i like grapes, tabbouli, and chic peas
-my feet smell like burnt popcorn--they DO!!
-my favorite thing to chew are bully sticks (if you don't know what these are, i don't want to tell you cause it will freak you out:-)

i haven't written in so long--i've just been feeling so existential lately. i mean, whats the point? Eat, sleep, sleep again, play outside, whine, appear cute, sleep and eat. its a rewardless cycle. actually, if you consider rewards to be bones, toys and cuddles, it's highly rewarding.
I'm just looking for something greater. Something more substantial... a bone that never gets chewed up? No, that would be boring. A world where i'd never have to be leashed up? Well, i might get lost. I know! I have found the answer to what makes like worth living. Raw meat. Raw meat everywhere! Chairs that i can munch on, steaky floors to roll around on...mmmmmm...steaky....

i haven't written in a long time. i'm a dog for god's sake! i mean, how much could i possibly have to write about??
Things I know to be true:
-i get peanut butter every morning before i'm abandoned for an entire day.
-my food dish is usually full
-whatever my parents are eating has got to be 10 billion times better than whatever i'm given to eat!
-if my parents eat at the coffee table, i am miserable for the rest of the evening. i mean, god! they could share!
-I like food
-the toilet is interesting to me
-every dog wants to play with me
-i have lots of toys but i can always use more
-one treat is never enough
-if you rub my belly (pretty please??) my leg shakes but i don't seem aware of it
-i'm not sure that my tail is a part of my body

I had the best vacation! Mommy and daddy were home all of the time--It was great! I got lots of treats and yummy biscuits from my grandma. I played with snow for the first time. its my favourite thing! I dig my nose around and snif. Sometimes I find presents under the snow. My wiskers get all icey and daddy calls me "snowbeard."
